Training Programs
Martial Arts
Tiny Tigers 3 and 4 yrs. old
The Tiny Tiger program was developed specifically for pre-school age children ages 3 to 4. This program offers
children a strong foundation in essential character qualities such as courtesy, respect and discipline. In addition,
the program is designed to improve children's gross motor skills and enhance their ability to pay attention and follow
directions.
Karate Kids 5 to 12 yrs. old
Our Basic Program not only gives your child the physical and mental skills needed for self-defense, but also allows
every child to be successful in achieving their goals in a safe, non-competitive environment. Within the first few
months, your child will have developed the confidence to succeed in all social settings. Our main focus for all of
our programs is to develop self-confidence and discipline.
Black Belt Club
The Black Belt Club has been developed especially for elementary age children to help them achieve Black Belt
Excellence. The focus of the BBC class is to improve life skills while improving the student's physical condition
and attitude. Weapon training is introduced in the Black Belt Club.
Masters Club
Masters Club is for the children who want to take their black belt training to the next level. In the Masters Club,
the focus is on shaping the child as a whole. Coordination skills are challenged through
more difficult weapon
instruction. Self-confidence is improved through performing in demonstrations. The mind is enhanced through group
instructions about leadership, responsibility, loyalty, and other important life skills that are a must to be a black belt.
Other Programs
Karate Birthday Parties are a unique way to celebrate your child's special day.
We provide EVERYTHING...all you need to bring are the cake, candles and the KIDS!
No experience necessary!
Summer Camps
We also host summer camps, which run during the day. This is another way to
enhance your child's experience here at Somerville Martial Arts Academy. Camps are made to be a fun and safe way
to learn martial arts self-defense techniques.
